"Just a Baseball Game" (9780977713523, $12.99) does more than teach young people about the beloved American pastime of baseball; it also addresses the common problems that sports leagues have with fans and parents who let their obsession with winning grow until it overrides the fun of the game.
Discussing ways to cool down hot heads, negotiate disagreements, and foster love of the game, "Just a Baseball Game" is a great way to introduce young people to the sport and even comes with cut-out "baseball cards" of the Edgebrook kids. All three books are a welcome addition to children's libraries, both private and public, and especially highly recommended as a way to promote active, inexpensive entertainment in a modern era over saturated with TV and video games.
